York Center (17 February 1911)

 

Harmon Huntley and Hans Olson are busy hauling bolts to Granton.

 

Papa Lawrence made a quick trip to Granton Monday after sawdust.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Benedict spent Sunday with his parents.

 

Mrs. Art Flint and daughter returned last week from Seattle, Wash.

 

Geo. Mortimer had the misfortune to step on a rusty nail last week and is now hobbling around on one foot.

 

A surprise party was given Miss Mabel Turner in honor of her birthday. A large crowd was present and all report a fine time.

 

Several of the boys from York attended the dance at Heintown Monday.

 

The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Rogers, who had been sick with pneumonia for some time, died Mon. the 6th and was buried Wed. at the M. E. Cemetery.  The grief stricken parents have the sympathy of the community.

 

Matt Rondorf made a business trip to Neillsville Tuesday.

 

Tim Parrett and Reinhold Voigt spent Sunday at the York Center factory.
