Patch, Leon (17 FEB 1910 - 23 NOV 1999)
Leon Patch, 89, 107 E. Elm, Thorp (Clark Co.), WI died at 6:46 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999 at Victory Medical Center, Stanley, WI.
Leon was born Feb. 17, 1910, Town of Hixon, Withee, WI to Martin and Frances (Gronek) Paczkowski. He married Viola Koperski Oct. 31, 1936 in Chicago, IL. He worked as an elevator operator for Chicago Title & Trust Co. until 1976 when he retired. He has been a resident of Thorp for the past 20 years. Leon is a member of the Knights of Columbus of Thorp.
Surviving are his wife Viola of Thorp; one brother Ed Paczkowski of Withee; two sisters: Sophie Bartoch and Helen Ryktarsyk, both of Detroit, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: John and Joe, and 2 sisters.
A funeral services was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999 at St. Bernard’s - St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, with rev. John Puerner officiating. Burial was in new St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Jeff Paczkowski, Shawn Paczkowski, James Paczkowski, Jeremy Hasenfang, David Patch, Jr. and Joe Paczkowski. Visitation was at the Thorp Funeral Home, Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., with a 7:30 Rosary and a K.C. Rosary
