Al and Shirley Accurso, Unity, have recently purchased CJ’s Drive-In in Spencer.
The new business will now go under the title of Burger Shack. The Burger Shack
will be open to customers seven days a week throughout the summer. Hors of the
new establishment are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Mr. Accurso also owns and operated the Best Way Janitorial Service in the
Marshfield and Spencer area. He farmed in the Unity area prior to the purchase
of the Burger Shack.
Mr. and Mrs. Accurso are both new to the food business. Shirley, however, feels
she has had enough experience in the kitchen of her home to provide quality
orders to the customers of the Burger Shack.
The business couple are the parents of two children, Tracy, 8, and Allen, 6, who
attended the Loyal School this year. They will be attending the Unity system
next year, as the family moved to the village of Unity recently.
Accurso says he enjoys sports, but can’t find the time to participate in them
while running two businesses. He adds, “I am definitely a Packer Backer.”
He is presently working on weekly specials which will be offered during the
summer. The Burger Shack may also offer daily specials. They will be announced
in the near future. A Grand Opening is planned for some time in early June.
