Pleasant Ridge (10 January 1963)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Victor Pagenkopf and children have returned to Platteville after spending Christmas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarion Counsell.

 

Mrs. Clarion Counsell entered Memorial Hospital Christmas night and is receiving treatment for a blood clot.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Foote visited Saturday evening at the Marvin Ziegler home near Willard.

 

Mr. and Mrs. James Butterfield and daughter of Waukesha were guests several days last week of Mrs. Glenn Short and family, and visited other area relatives. They left Monday to visit relatives in Madison before returning home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Neil Johnston and son of Loyal were Thursday evening guests at the Charles Foote home.  Mr. and Mrs. Foote and sons were Sunday evening dinner guests at the Johnston home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Reynold Syth and family of Greenwood and the Gerald Schmidt family of Neillsville were New Year’s Day guests at the Glenn Short home.

 

Homer Ralph of Platteville and Mr. and Mrs. Alva Howard of Milwaukee were among those from away who attended the Clifford Blackman funeral.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Scholtz, Mrs. Ted Selves, Bob Blackman and Mrs. Nina Blackman were Sunday dinner guests at the George Buddinger home in the Town of York.

 

Arthur Hubing has returned home from a week’s visit with his son, Bradley Hubing and family in Stoughton. While there he attended the wedding of Mrs. Bradley Hubing’s sister.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Klapper of Green Bay arrived Saturday to spend several days with area relatives.

 

Miss Shirley Magnuson of Minneapolis, Minn., spent the New Year weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Magnuson.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Lau and baby of Potter spent the weekend with Walter Schlinsog; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Schlinsog and family visited there Saturday evening.
