Asselin, Esther Hazel (Marriage - 12 January 1963)
St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thorp was the scene Saturday of the wedding of Miss Esther Hazel Asselin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Asselin of Thorp, and Richard Raymond Rosemeyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Justin L. Rosemeyer, also of Thorp. The Rev. Francis j. Brockman performed a double ring ceremony before an altar adorned with baskets of yellow and white chrysanthemums.
The bride wore a mint green suit, accented with a black hat and accessories, and she carried a bouquet of white button pompoms and yellow roses.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Eugene Rosemeyer of Thorp, and Ralph Sylla of Thorp was bestman.
A wedding reception was held at the Rosemeyer home.
Mr. and Mrs. Rosemeyer, who are 1962 graduates of Thorp High School, are making their home in Stanley, where the groom is employed.
