Miss Marjorie Ann Danielewicz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Danielewicz, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Kenneth R. Sauerwein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sauerwein of Holcombe on Sat. Jan. 18th, 1958. St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Thorp, was the setting for the 7:30 candlelight service with Rev. R.W. Olson performing the double ring ceremony.
Miss Sharon Walters of Chicago, cousin of the groom, sang "O Perfect Love," accompanied by Mrs. Walter Reineke at the organ, and "The Lord’s Prayer" with Mrs. Wm. Boardman accompanist.
The bride, escorted to the altar by her father wore a gown of white satin, with net and lace overskirt. She wore a silk illusion veil with rhinestone and pearl crown. Her bouquet was an orchid on a "New Testament."
Mrs. Wm. Schoonover of Holcombe attended the bride as maid of honor, and Mary Lou Sauerwein, sister of the groom, as bridesmaid. They wore street length gowns of champagne taffeta with matching headbands. Their bouquets were carnation snowballs.
Mr. Wm. Schoonover of Holcombe, friend of the groom, was best man. James Danielewicz, brother of the bride, ushered. The mother of the bride and the groom’s mother, wore aqua blue dresses, with pink and white carnations corsages.
A reception as held in the church parlors, following the ceremony, to 140 guests. Miss Sharon Leskinen of Eau Claire, cousin of the bride, cut the wedding cake.
The bride was a graduate of Thorp High School with the class of 1957 and is employed by Hooper Holmes Insurance Agency in Milwaukee. The groom was a graduate of Holcombe High School with the class of 1956. They will reside in Milwaukee where the groom is employed by Wis. Telephone Co.
Guests were present from Chicago, Milwaukee, Wautoma, Cornell, Holcombe, Eau Claire, Stanley, Owen, Withee and Thorp.
