Olowski, Adolph #2 (15 MAY 1890 - 26 JAN 1958)

 

Adolph Olowski was born in Poland on May 15, 1890 and passed away at the hospital at Chippewa Falls, Wis., of a coronary occlusion on Jan. 26, 1958, at the age of 67 years.

 

Mr. Olowski came to the United States in the year of 1913 and located in Minneapolis where he was united in marriage to Anna Kryston on June 12, 1917.  They moved to the Town of Edson in Chippewa County in 1919, where they resided until 1924 when they moved on a farm in the Township of Thorp, midway between Thorp and Stanley, which they operated until coming to the city of Thorp in April 1957.

 

Besides his wife, Anna, he is survived by twelve children, six sons, Stanley of Reseda, Calif., Chester of Gilman, Matt of Los Angeles, Calif., Henry and Robert at home and Frank of Thorp; six daughters, Jean, Mrs. Elmer Lesinke, Puente, Calif., Nellie, Mrs. Lacy Blair Jr., San Diego, Calif., Rose, Mrs. Robert Brecken, Cosmopolis, Wash., Frances, Mrs. Henry Slowiak, Stanley, Wis., Stella Olowski, Milwaukee, and Mary Ann, Mrs. Richard Lasiuk of Thorp.

 

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Francis Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Jan. 30th, with military rites by Cecil Tormey Post No. 118 of the American Legion.  He was laid to rest in St. Hedwig’s New Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Joe Kaminski, Emil Kodl, Lawrence Heiting, Frank Tomkowiak, Stanley Lasiuk and Stanley Zawacki.

 

Relatives and friends from out of town attending the funeral were from California, Washington, Milwaukee and Stanley.
