Romadka (24 February 1911)
A surprise party was given Mr. and Mrs. Fred Frank Saturday night.
Anderson Spry had a phone put in last week.
J. Whiteman, veterinary of Loyal was called out Sunday on account of a sick cow at Carl Retta’s.
Miss Freda Garbisch visited Miss Martha Nitschke at Lynn early this week.
Last Sunday some of our neighbors gathered at Fred Zeises to spend probably the last Sunday under his roof. Among those reported were Mr. and Mrs. H. Vick and daughter near Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Retta and children, Mr. and Mrs. H. Garbisch and children and Miss Freda Garbisch.
The Mesdames J. Baker and Frank Downer visited school Monday afternoon.
The auction sale at Fred Zeise’s Tuesday afternoon was well attended in spite of the cold weather. On an average everything went for a good price. Will Davis did the auctioneering.
Art Johnston and folks visited J. Krueger near Spokeville on Sunday.
Master Stork has taken up his headquarters here at present. Early Monday morning he left a little girl at Carl Retta’s. Tuesday, he stopped in at Fred Garbisch’s, presenting them with a loving daughter.
