Lynn Mutual Insurance (Annual Meeting - 29 January 1963)
Elmer Buddenhagen of Neillsville was elected president of the Lynn Mutual Insurance Company following the annual meeting of policyholders here Tuesday. He succeeds Martin Dankemyer of Chili, who had served as president for several years. Mr. Dankemyer was elected vice president.
Re-elected secretary - treasurer was Delbert C. Struble, and Assistant secretary - treasurer, Mrs. Della Chase.
Buddenhagen was elected to the board by the policyholders to fill the unexpired term of the late George V. Weyhmiller of Loyal. Re-elected to the board were Mr. Dankemyer, Sherman Groves of Prentice, and Lawrence Bohnsack of Neillsville.
In his report during the meeting, Secretary Struble revealed that premiums of Lynn had increased by more than 100 percent in the last four years; and that of nine companies operating in the area and the state, Lynn’s expense ratio of 36 percent is the lowest. The average expense for the nine companies included in the study is 46 percent, ranging from Lynn’s low of 36 percent to a high of 58 percent.
Secretary Struble also reported that the present office force of the Lynn Insurance Company totals 75 years’ experience and service with the company. They include Mrs. Neva Yorkston, with 32 years; Struble with 17 years; and Mrs. Lorraine Shaw, with one year.
