Thums, Earl (27 JUNE 1911-? JUNE 1957)
Earl Oscar Thums, 45, suffered a heart attack at his home at Marathon Monday evening and died en route to a hospital in Wausau.
He was born in Marshfield June 27, 1911. He lived in Loyal as a boy and was a graduate of Loyal High School. He was married to Helen Rusch at Withee in 1939. They then went to Manitowoc where they lived until your years ago when the family moved to Marathon. He was an employee of the White House Milk Company for 18 years.
He is survived by his wife; two sons Charles, 11 years of age, and Jonathon, 9 years of age; his mother, Mrs. Charles Thums of Marshfield; two sisters, Mrs. Warner Berry, Loyal, and Mrs. Karl Rice, Oconto; and one brother, Verland Thums of Gold Hill, Oregon.
His father and a brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be Friday at the Ritter and Duetch Funeral Home in Wausau where the body is lying in state. Burial will be in Marshfield.
