Syth, Helen (26 August 1892 - 28 January 1963)
Mrs. William Syth, 70, of Baldwin, Calif., a former Greenwood resident, died in a hospital at Sandpoint, Ida., January 28, according to word received here. She had been a hospital patient since January 21. She became ill while visiting relatives in Idaho and Montana.
Funeral services were held and burial was made at Sandpoint, Ida., February 2.
Mrs. Syth, the former Helen Stoneburg, daughter of Daniel and Olin Stoneburg, was born August 26, 1892, in Greenwood. She was married to William Syth September 15, 1909, in Greenwood. On March 10, 1910, they moved to Sidney, Mont., where they lived for many years. After retiring they made their home in Baldwin Park, Calif., where two sons reside.
To this union 18 children were born including three sets of twins.
Surviving are her husband, 11 sons, four daughters, 44 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Stoneburg, of Roslyn, Wash.; a half-brother, Ervin Stoneburg of Marshfield, three half-sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Edith) Koenke of Spencer, Mrs. August (Edna) Eckes and Mrs. Norman Breheim of Marshfield; and many other relatives in this area.
