Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bruhn attended a Commandary meeting Saturday afternoon in Ladysmith.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Granberg and Karen of Kaukauna were weekend guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Lehman. Mrs. Granberg and Karen remained to spend the week.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Scholtz drove Sunday to Galesville and spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Vosseteig and family.
Harry Kauffman is visiting his son, Everett Kauffman and family in Chili, while his wife is a patient in Memorial Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. E. Rhead and Mrs. Jack Spangler of Beloit were weekend guests at the Tom Krejci home in Willard. They also visited their sister, Mrs. Kenneth Metcalf who is a hospital patient.
Mr. and Mrs. John Genteman and family of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Oldham and children, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Smale and daughter of Neillsville, and the Jesse Hagen family were Sunday guests at the Albert Miller home and helped Mr. Miller observe his birthday.
Richard Wedekind, who has been a patient in Marshfield for several days, underwent surgery Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Prochnow and family of Waupaca, and Lowell Trewartha of Madison were weekend guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Trewartha.
Charles Swann, who has been ill since Christmas, has returned home from the hospital in Madison. He is a student at the University of Wisconsin. Mrs. Swann is the former Sherri Briggs.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Scherer and family of Milwaukee spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Scherer. They were accompanied to Milwaukee by Mrs. Lucille Fenske of Eagle River, who has been spending several weeks with her sister, Mrs. Nick Scherer. Mrs. Fenske plans to return here.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sternitzky accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ure of the Town of Lynn to Madison Sunday, where they visited an old neighbor, Fred Bartsch, who is a patient in Wisconsin General Hospital. They report his condition is improved.
Lynn Marie, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Suckow, underwent successful surgery last week Wednesday in a Rochester, Minn., hospital. Her mother has been staying with Lynn. Mr. Suckow left Saturday to spend the weekend with his wife and daughter, and may be accompanied home by them.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ray and daughter spent the weekend with his parents in Milwaukee.
A/1c William Perrine, who was home on emergency leave from the Air Force due to the death of his grandfather Soren Korntved, left Saturday from Minneapolis on his return to Vandenberg AFB, Calif. His parents Mr. and Mrs. William Perrine, Sr., took him to Minneapolis.
Al Shock has resumed work after undergoing major surgery a few weeks ago.
Mrs. Malvin Wang of Camp Douglas has returned home after spending several days with her daughter, Mrs. Roger Heineck and her family.
Relatives and friends surprised Mrs. Thomas Pozega on her birthday Saturday evening at the Pozega home in the Town of Weston. Guests were Georgeana and William Schulz, Mr. and Mrs. John Jaryniuk, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Durham and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Seelow, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Eslinger, and Mr. and Mrs. Coy Hilliard and Kevin. The evening was spent playing cards, followed by a lunch brought in by the guests.
Mrs. Frank Ruddock returned home Thursday from Memorial Hospital, where she had spent several days undergoing tests.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Lazotte were among the 24 couples who attended a basketball game in River Falls Saturday evening between Stevens Point and River Falls colleges. Al Temte plays on the Point team, while Teddy Heimstead, played on the River Falls team.
Jack Eddy of Beloit spent a few days last week with his mother, Mrs. Lulu Eddy, who recently returned home from the hospital where she had undergone surgery. Mrs. Eddy is now visiting her daughter, Mrs. Frank McMann, and her family in Cataract.
Mrs. John Perkins has resumed her work in the children’s department of the Neillsville Library. Mrs. Emil Hauri substituted for her while Mrs. Perkins was recovering from a fractured arm.
Mrs. Ted Viergutz visited Tuesday with her husband in the Veterans Hospital in Madison. Mr. Viergutz, who was scheduled to return home, will have to remain there a few weeks longer.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Lezotte, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Lezotte, Jr. and children, and Mrs. Ed Francis drove to Loyal Sunday, where they were guests of the Harold Francis family. Mr. and Mrs. Francis entertained at dinner honoring their daughter, Jacqueline, on her 12th birthday, which was February 14. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Beck and Mrs. R. K. Stevens of Loyal were also guests.
