Luoma, Susan Ann (Marriage - 16 February 1963)
Nuptial vows were exchanged February 16 in a double ring ceremony uniting in marriage Susan Ann Luoma, daughter of Senia Luoma of Owen, and Raymond R. Mamayek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Mamayek of Thorp. The Rev. Fr. Edward Masliewicz performed the ceremony in St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Thorp.
Thirty guests witnessed as Delmar Anderson, brother-in-law of the bride, gave her in marriage. For her wedding Miss Luoma was attired in a ballerina-length gown of white satin and net. The skirt was styled with tiered side paneling of chiffon, and the fitted Basque bodice, with three-quarter length sleeves, was fashioned with a rounded front coming to a "V" in the back. A crown of seed pearls held the shoulder-length veil. She carried a crescent bridal bouquet of pink and white roses, entwined with green.
Mrs. David Mamayek attended as matron-of-honor; and Mr. Mamayek was bestman; Clarence Turenne ushered. A reception was attended by thirty guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Mamayek are gradates of the Thorp High School, class of 1961. Mrs. Mamayek has been employed in department store work in Chicago and Des Plaines, Ill., and her husband is engaged in farming and logging.
