Petrulis, Sylvia (Graduation - 13 JUN 1958)

Sylvia Petrulis, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), will be graduated from Wis. State College, Whitewater, in the college’s 69^th annual commencement exercise on Friday, June 13, 1958, at 10 a.m.

Miss Petrulis will receive the Bachelor of Education degree in business education with minors in geography and English.

While at Whitewater she was a member of Future Business Leaders of American, marching and concert bands, and Mercier.  She was a student counselor and had a part in the play, "Medea."  She is also a member of Wis. Education Association.

Starting next fall, Miss Petrulis will be teaching business subjects in the Cornell High School.  She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Petrulis of Thorp.

Dr. Harold M. Perry, vice-president and personnel director of the Commercial Investment Trust, Inc., of New York, and Whitewater alumnus, will deliver the commencement address.  The Rev. Francis E. Kearns, minister of the Wauwatosa Methodist Church, will speak at the baccalaureate service which will open commencement week activities on Sunday, June 8.
