Fitzl, Martha (1874 - 27 MAY 1958)

 

Mrs. Martha Fitzl, a Stanley resident, passed away at Chippewa Falls on Tuesday at the age of 84.  She died following a lingering illness.

 

She was born in 1874, the daughter of John and Anne Busch, in Iowa.  On Oct. 1, 1895 she married Charles Fitzl and moved to Brewster, Minn., where they operated a mercantile business.  In 1909 they returned to Iowa and then went to the Stanley area in 1917 where she has since resided.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1934 and one son, Lawrence, who was killed in World War II; also one sister.

 

She is survived by four sons: Rudy of Milwaukee; Ed of Thorp; Joseph of Stanley and Ray of Detroit, Mich., and four daughters, Mrs. Joe (Sylvia) Rilley of Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Hugo (Rose) Rilley of Everett, Wash.; Mrs. Herbert (Dorothy) Leitzae Milwaukee and Mrs. Daniel (Susie) Schultz of Thorp, and one brother, John Busch of Iowa, and three sisters, Mrs. Tracy Moja, Wells, Minn.; Mrs. Annie Carlson of Tracey, Minn.; Mrs. Laura Albert of North St. Paul.
