Mrs. Eliza Chase died at her home at Monmouth Sunday morning, February 19, 1911.
Eliza E. D____ was born in 1842 (?) and with her parents moved to Menasha County, Wisconsin. She was married to Horrace S. Chase on August 25, 1860, in 1861 they moved to Dallas, Polk County, Ore., and after residing there three years they came to Monmouth.
Mrs. Chase was a member of the First Baptist Church of this city and also a member of Agate Rebekah Lodge. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. Her one great desire was to serve those whom she loved. By the death of Mrs. Chase society loses a useful and good member.
The funeral services wee conducted at the residence Tuesday at 10 a.m. by Rev. W. W. Davis, and the members of the Rebekah Lodge. Interment took place in the K. P. Cemetery south of Monmouth. Mrs. Chase is survived by her husband, and three children: Oliver P. and Philander F. Chase of Monmouth; and Robert I. Chase of Dallas. - Monmouth Herald.
