Foemmel’s Corners (10 March 1911)

Mrs. Heck was quite sick last week with a severe pain in her side.

Frank Krejci and daughters, Mary and Stella did shopping in Granton Saturday.

Several from here attended the funeral of the late Otto Lustig Sunday afternoon.

John Pietenpol left Friday evening for Sheboygan to attend the funeral of his niece Miss Brasser who met death while on her way with her mother and betrothed to procure the marriage license. They were struck by the train, the horse and girl being killed instantly, while the mother and Mr. Dulmas having being badly hurt.

Harry Rose is looking after and doing the chores for John Pietenpol.

Fred Foemmel was somewhat under the weather the past week.

Geo. Glover had blood poisoning in two of his fingers last week, but under the skilled treatment of Dr. Ross finds it much better this week.

Chas Hayden who was delivering goats, that he ____ for took dinner Friday with his niece, Mrs. Truman Davis.

Blurred words –of the burg was well represented as the entertainment given by the Circle Saturday evening; everyone was heartily welcomed by Sunny Jim and Smiling Sue.

Amelia Krause cared for Truman Davis’ children Saturday evening.

Miss Louise Krause left Monday for Rochester, Minn., where she will receive medical aid at the Mayo Bros hospital.

Truman Davis entertained the wood sawyers Tuesday.

W. S. Davis and Ross Paulson were seen on our streets the first of the week.

Mr. and Mrs. Breese spent Thursday afternoon of last week at Truman Davis’.

Ruth, Frederick and Marjorie Pietenpol were sick the first of the week.

Mrs. Heyder sold her farm to Ross Paulson who afterward sold the front 80 acres to Mr. Fradette and the back 40 to Truman Davis.

Mr. Trimberger had a logging bee Tuesday.

Mrs. Dankemyer is assisting in the care of her father during her sister Louise’s absence.
