McGuire, Luke J. (1888? - 29 APR 1958)
Luke James McGuire, about 70 years of age, died on the way to a hospital in Seattle, Wash., Tuesday, April 29, 1958, after he suffered a heart attack at his home at 717 18th Ave. N., Seattle.
Mr. McGuire’s father operated the Forest Queen House (where the Farmers Store now stands in Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.) in the early days and moved to Washington with his parents in 1907.
He had been in business as a paving contractor in Seattle for 30 years before his retirement a year ago. He was a member of Seattle Council No. 676, Knights of Columbus, and Holy Name Society of St. Joseph’s Church.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Sellers of Seattle.
Funeral services were held at St. Joseph’s Church, with interment following in Calvary Cemetery.
