The firehouse and also the fire bell is up and soon the department will be up in shape to work in case of emergency, which, we all hope, will never arise.
A Sunday school missionary is holding services in the M.E. Church evenings.
Chas. Kempin is grandpa now and nobody seems to be prouder than uncle Otto.
Two carloads of potatoes were shipped out of Chili this week. There will probably be another one sent out right away.
John Cattanach loaded a car of hay for H. Degener, Wednesday.
Wenzel Gebhard took a trip to Chicago in the potato car. He will return by way of Milwaukee where he will visit relatives.
Dr. Housley is kept very busy looking after the sick.
Harry Oens is the proud father of a baby boy.
E.R. Behringer left Sunday morning for Hartford, Wis., where he attended the funeral of a relative.
Herman Henning and August Dankemyer attended a bank meeting at Granton Tuesday night.
