Bucksteiner, Evelyn (24 August 1924 - 4 March 1963)

 

Funeral services are being held this (Thursday) afternoon at 1:30 p.m. for Mrs. William (Evelyn) Buchsteiner, 37, of Waukegan, Ill., formerly of Neillsville area.  She died Monday in Waukegan of complications.

 

The Rev. Evan Dieck will officiate at services from Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Pine Valley, and burial will be in the North Pine Valley Cemetery.

 

The former Evelyn Meihak, daughter of William and Clara (Curst) Meihak, was born August 24, 1924, in Marshfield. She attended rural school in the Town of Weston and was graduated from Neillsville High School. 

 

She worked in the A & P store before her marriage to William Buchsteiner on September 6, 1942, at Neillsville. Following their marriage they lived in Reedsburg and Lake Forest, Ill, before moving to Waukegan about five years ago. She had been ill since January 2 of this year.

 

She is survived by her husband; four children, Carol, Dennis, Gary and Richard, all at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Meihak of Neillsville; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Margaret) Rockwood, St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. Wendell (Lorraine) Storm of Sheboygan; and a brother, Roger Meihak of Neillsville.

 

Funeral arrangements are being made by the Georgas Funeral Home.
