Hrach, Ferdinand (23 March 1883 - 9 March 1963)

A requiem high mass was read Wednesday morning in St. Mary’s Catholic Church for Ferdinand Hrach, 79, of Neillsville, who died Saturday at his home.  The Rev. Fr. Bernard T. Kelly officiated, and burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Hrach was the son of the late Ferdinand and Theresa Hrach.  He was born March 23, 1883, in Spencer. When he was a year old the family moved onto a farm in the Town of Pine Valley, north of Neillsville.  He received his education in the rural schools of the town and lived at home until his marriage to the former Catherine Aumann on October 9, 1906, in Neillsville.  They farmed in the Town of Weston until 1946, when they moved to Neillsville.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Mr. Hrach is survived by his wife and the following children: Lawrence of Neillsville; Agnes Hrach of Sheboygan Falls; Mrs. Arthur (Celia) Ackerman, Neillsville; Francis Hrach of Madison; and Mrs. Ralph (Margaret) Hansen of Whitefish Bay.  Other survivors include eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Aumann and Mrs. Freda Hrach, both of Neillsville.

A general rosary service was said Tuesday evening at the Bergemann Funeral Home.
