Jaks, Anton Sr. (1886? - 19 JUN 1958)
Anton Jaks Sr., 72, a former Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) Township resident, died at his home at 1417 W. Lill Ave., Chicago, Ill., of a heart attack at 5:30, June 19th, 1958.
Funeral services were held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Chicago at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 23rd and burial was made at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Anton and Steve Jaks of Thorp, Sever and Joseph Jaks, Kenneth Johnson and Joseph Urbanovitch of Chicago.
His first wife, Anna, preceded him in death 18 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Julia, 5 sons, Steve and Anton of Thorp, Casimir of Round Lake, Ill., Sever and Joseph of Chicago, and 5 daughters, Mrs. Angeline Kornesczuk of Stanley, Mrs. Edward Brunke (Clara), Mrs. Robert Carnevale (Martha), Mrs. Chester Statkowski (Nettie), Mrs. Kenneth Johnson (Pearl), of Chicago.
