Schmidt, Sarah (8 AUG 1906)
Mr. Fred Doernenburg was wedded to Miss Sarah Schmidt Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents in this village (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.). The marriage ceremony was performed by the rev. Jankee of the Evangelical Church. They were attended by Mr. Wm. Wiedekang and Miss Edith Doernenburg and Mr. Adolph Hansen and Miss Lizzie Hagen. After the ceremony the party drove to Medford to have a wedding picture taken. An elegant supper was served at 7 o'clock, where about 150 guests participated. They were the recipients of many valuable presents. The groom is a respectable young man, having made Dorchester his home about two years, being in the employ of Aug. Schmidt, local agent for the Jung Brewing Co.. Fred is respected by all who are acquainted with him, as a thoroughbred gentleman. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Schmidt of this village. Sarah is one of those respectable young laides who has a good word for everybody and we feel justified in saying that she will make a most model housewife. She has been clerking at Wells & Chase's for the past year.
They will make their home in this village. The Herald joins with their many friends in wishing them a joyous and happy new life.
