Website displays the status of Wisconsin Flag
By Tony Opelt
A new feature on Governor Walker’s website was unveiled which informs citizens of the daily status of the Wisconsin and United States Flag. The new page entitled "Wisconsin Flag Status" can be accessed by visiting http://walker.wi.gov.
"Citizens who display the flag now have the ability to quickly and accurately determine the status of the Wisconsin flag and United States flag by visiting our website," Walker said. "Displaying flags and lowering them to half-staff when order is an important duty for all who fly the colors of our nation and our state and this new feature makes it much easier to citizens to stay informed."
The page also lists general instructions for properly displaying the United States and Wisconsin flags, and when Governor Walker issues an executive order calling for the flags to be flown at half-staff, a copy of the executive order will also be shown on the page.
