Severson, Shirley Ann (Marriage - 9 March 1963)
Nuptial vows were repeated in a double ring ceremony March 9, 1963, in the Greenwood Methodist Chruch uniting in marriage Miss Shirley Ann Severson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Severson of Greenwood and John J. Blaskowski, son of Mrs. Kathryn Blaskowski of Neillsville. The Rev. Gene Carlson officiated.
For her wedding the bride was attired in a floor-length gown of white satin brocade with full, bouffant skirt. The fitted bodice, with wrist-length sleeves, was fashioned with a scalloped neckline. A lace crown held her fingertip veil of lace. She carried a bridal bouquet of white and yellow carnations entwined with green.
Bridesmaids were Joan Counsell and Becola Bowe.
The groom’s attendants were Dean Bryan and Arland Bryan of Neillsville.
A reception for 150 guests was held at the Ben Severson home.
Mrs. Blaskowski was a 1960 graduate of the Greenwood High School and has been employed in Marshfield. The groom is employed in a machine shop in Neillsville, where they are making their home.
Guests from away were Mr. and Mrs. Keith Stroud, brother-in-law and sister of the bride, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Cotter, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Isaacson, and Sharon, Edward Bombach, Jr., Kathaleen Prebil, all of Milwaukee; and relatives from Marshfield and Neillsville.
