Chili (24 March 1911)
The March winds are blowing quite lively these days and farmers have commenced seeding, anticipating another dry season.
Louis Lindow bought a brand new Monitor drill of H. Degener Wednesday and hauled it home.
Mr. A. Rueth came Wednesday morning to measure up the wood that has been sold and hauled to his landing this winter. Some have been waiting for Rueth to come for some time.
R. Ebert our blacksmith made a business trip to Granton Wednesday.
H. Thomas who lived north of here but stayed with John Rollins part of this winter died Saturday night. His body was shipped to his home in the southern part of the state where his relatives live. A brother came up to attend to this matter. The deceased made a host of friends during the few years he stayed around here.
Emil Bosselman is busy buying up brush and stumps before he goes out to Minnesota.
H. Degener carried a large line of wall paper samples, which is worth the while looking over for orders.
