Wojtalewicz, Joseph F. (11 FEB 1901 - 4 JUL 1958)

 

Funeral services were held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Hedwig’s Catholic Chapel for Joseph F. Wojtalewicz, 57, who died Friday evening from a heart attack suffered while he was attending the 65th wedding anniversary celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Papierniak in St. Hedwig’s dining hall.

 

Burial was made in the New St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.

 

Mr. Wojtalewicz was born Feb. 11, 1901.  His wife, the former Marie Papierniak, survives him.

 

He lived in Chicago, Ill. for 11 years before coming to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), where he owned and operated Joseph’s Department Store.  He was an official of the Thorp Lions Club, serving as director, and St. Hedwig’s Church.

 

Besides his wife, he is survived by two children, Robert J. Wojtalewicz and Edward Wojtalewicz.; one grandchild, Paul; and two brothers, Phillip and Al Wojtalewicz of Chicago, Ill.
