Shanbarker, Ethel B. (16 MAR 1892 - 28 JUN 1958)
Mrs. Clifford W. Shanbarker, 66, Two Rivers, mother of Mrs. Robert E. Elkins, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital, where she had been a patient for two weeks.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 2nd at Rossman-Uehling-Kinzer Funeral Home, Beloit. Burial was in Eastlawn Cemetery, Beloit.
Mrs. Shanbarker, nee Ethel Belle Hoey, was born March 16, 1892, at South Beloit, Ill., daughter of the late George and Lara (Brenner) Hoey. She attended school at South Beloit and Nov. 11, 1919, she was married to Mr. Shanbarker at Crown Point, Ind. The family resided in Beloit until 1935, after which they lived at numerous Wisconsin cities where Mr. Shanbarker managed telephone exchanges and presently is manager of the Two Rivers exchange of the Central Telephone Co. of Wisconsin. They went to Two Rivers in 1953. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Grace Congregational Church of Two Rivers and the Sunshine Circle and Women’s Fellowship of the church.
Besides husband and daughter, she leaves a son, Richard of Kensington, Md., two brothers, Sidney and Chester of South Beloit and four grandchildren.
