Mrs. August Nemitz was hostess Saturday evening at a bridal shower honoring Nancy Huckstead.
Gerald Anderson has returned from Arizona, where he spent the past few months.
Recent guests at the Frank Knippel home were Mr. and Mrs. Grant Styer of Menomonie. Mrs. Styer and Mrs. Knippel are sisters.
Dr. and Mrs. Roger Heineck entertained at dinner March 24 in observance of their infant daughter’s baptism. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Paul Waggoner of Madison, Col. and Mrs. Malvin Wang of Camp Douglas and Mr. and Mrs. Heineck of Black River Falls.
H. J. Wachholz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wachholz, has notified his parents that he and a friend won second prize in a nationally promoted race car safety contest in Columbus, O. They had entered two designs and received an honorable mention on the first entry. "Bud" has many friends in this area.
Mrs. Anton Hubing is a surgical patient in Memorial Hospital.
Weekend guests at the Tony Hantke home were Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Hantke and son of Germantown.
Several students attending Wisconsin State College in Stevens Point are spending the spring vacation at their homes here. They are: June Rothenburger, Alan Temte, Sandra Foemmel, Jim Hauri, Stanley Kurasz, Tom and David Meier, David Grether, Lola Buddenhagen, Jean Vine, Jim Wasserburger and Bud Tompkins.
Mr. and Mrs. Myrle Hales and daughter of Manawa, former Neillsville residents were Sunday visitors at the Donald Schwantes home.
Mr. and Mrs. Terry Schwantes of Madison plan to arrive Friday to spend Easter weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schwantes.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Meyer and two sons and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence DeMert of the Town of Weston, plan to spend Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Art Lau and family in Stratford.
Mr. and Mrs. Russel M. Larson of Cambridge, Minn., former residents of Neillsville, visited friends here Sunday and Monday. They were dinner guests Sunday at the Henry Thomsen home. Mr. Larson operated a lumber yard in Neillsville, leaving here about 12 years ago. He currently is engaged in building sales.
