Siglin, Fred Stuart (12 March 1868 - 25 April 1963)
Funeral services for Fred Siglin, 95, of Rt. 3, Neillsville, were conducted Monday afternoon from the Methodist Church in Monona, Ia. Burial was made in the Monona Cemetery. The body was taken Saturday from the Bergemann Funeral Home in Neillsville to Monona for services.
He died April 25, at the Sunset Nursing Home in Fairchild, where he had been a patient since last July.
Fred Stuart Siglin was born March 12, 1868, in Hawkeye, Ia. He received his education there and in 1891 was married to the former Maude Stratton in Monona. He was employed by the Milwaukee Railroad company as a painter and finisher of railroad coaches for many years at Dubuque, Ia.
The Siglins made Monona their home for over 60 years. Following the death of his wife in 1956, he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Howard Clawson, in the Town of Weston. Mrs. Clawson preceded her father in death on February 9, of this year.
Mr. Siglin is survived by an adopted son, Gerald McLaughlin of Monona, Ia.; a granddaughter Mrs. George Cowell, and a great-granddaughter, Patricia Cowell, both of Monona.
