We had a few cold days this winter, but it doesn’t seem to go down as low as we had it last year.

Fred Silk went to Chicago with a car load of wood, Friday.

John Davis, who has been sick with typhoid fever, is on the way to recovery.  There has been quite a little typhoid fever around here, which has been carried into this country from the west.

John Hutt and family, who had been quarantined, were released last week and now John feels a good deal better that he can show his smiling face to his friends again.

H. Schulz is busy this year sawing wood for the farmers.  It is a good deal easier than sawing with a cross cut saw.

J. Grosbier delivered some wood to a merchant, shipped an old sleight to Marshfield and bought a new one.

Building activities will start early this year.  H. Degener will build a building for machinery and implements within the next few weeks on the north side of his store building to be in readiness for his spring stock which is going to be complete and up to date.

Louis Lindow was a business caller at Granton, Monday.

Quite a number from hereabouts expect to attend the telephone meeting at Granton Saturday night and the Lynn Fire Insurance meeting next Tuesday.
