Pryzina, Dr. Edward (Research Grant - 1958)
Dr. Edward Pryzina, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pryzczyna of Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis., has been awarded a research grant by the Marathon Co. Unit of the American Cancer Society.
A 1941 graduate of Thorp High School, Dr. Pryzina received his Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctor’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin. For the past two years he has been on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin Extension Center at Wausau, Wis., where he has been teaching Botany and Zoology. In addition to his teaching duties, Dr. Pryzina has been actively engaged in research dealing with the study of cell division and cytochemical investigation of nucleic acid synthesis in plant cells. He is also associated with the Wis. Neurological Foundation of Madison, Wis., and is interested and involved in a study of possible causes of multiple sclerosis.
Dr. Pryzina is married to the former Mary Lerdahl of Madison, Wis. The Pryzina family, including Nancy Jean, who is four years old, resides at 910 ½ West Stewart Avenue in Wausau.
