Macejak, Carolyn (23 AUG 1958)
On Aug. 23, 1958 as the church bells chimed at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church (Chicago), Carolyn Macejak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Macejak, walked down the aisle to become the bride of William J. Grabon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Grabon. The bride was given in marriage by her father at a double ring ceremony at the eleven o’clock Nuptial Mass.
The bride wore a white Chantilly lace wedding dress with the "trapeze" styling, and a chapel train. Her three-tiered fingertip veil was held in place by a hat of pearls and sequins. She carried a bouquet of white orchids, and stephanotis.
Marilyn Macejak, twin sister of the bride, was maid of honor; and the bridesmaids were Miss Marianne Harms, Miss Lori Macejak, Miss Mary Grabon, and flower girl Benita Dalessandro. The bridesmaids wore ballerina coral organza dresses with match sequin crown hats with short flush veil. They carried white lace fans decorated with coral tipped white roses.
Bill Plombon, friend of the groom, was best man, and the ushers were Jim Grabon, Walter Melby, Ralph Grabon and Edward Galor.
The bride’s mother, Mrs. Macejak, attended her daughter’s wedding in a white suit with pink accessories. The groom’s mother, Mrs. Grabon, chose a pink dress with navy blue and white accessories. Both mothers wore white orchids.
A reception was held in the evening at the Modena Hall, and about 350 guests were there to congratulate the bride and groom.
Mr. and Mrs. William J. Grabon honeymooned in Iowa, and are now residing at South Spaulding Avenue, Chicago.
Out of town relatives included: Mr. and Mrs. W. Grabon, James Grabon and Richard Plansky of Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rademacher and John of Marshfield, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Reynold, west Allis, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Merlyn Grabon of La Crosse, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. John Murawski and Marsha of Chesterton, Ind.
