Miss Clara Retzlaff returned from Beloit last Friday.

E.A. Webster is enjoying a visit from Mr. and Mrs. E. Grush and son Roy of Alma Center.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Eide left last Friday morning to take in the sights of Waupun and Mendota and before returning home the former intends to spend a few days at the dairy school at Madison.

In one way a bachelor is more fortunate than his married brother, for he is never tortured with hooking up a better half.

Louis Grade returned from Tripoli Monday.  There is no place like home.

After spending a few days at Fred Grade’s his brother-in-law from Greenwood returned to his home Monday.

Carl Renne is helping L.A. Kleinschmidt cut bolts.

It is reported that Arthur Garbush, who underwent an operation of a serious nature in Chicago, is recovering rapidly and expects to be home in a few weeks.

A hose shoe may bring good luck, but when used as a trademark means hands off.

Fred Hines bought a horse of August Lindow last Friday.

Now that the parcel post law is in effect the bachelors ought to use that method in getting a helpmate from some foreign country where they are more plentiful.

Trewald Knudson is playing his violin to Carl Omhold to keep him from getting lonesome while his master is absent.
