Mr. and Mrs. Frank Preston were away visiting last Sunday.

Miss Anna Teatz visited at Albert Porath’s the first of the week.

August Krause had the misfortune of losing a valuable pig last week.

Hank Porath was out walking the school ma’am of District 6 again this week.

Mrs. Frank Smith and daughter Alice returned last Saturday morning from a week’s visit at Milwaukee.

Mable Schier is staying with her sister, Mrs. Emil Krause, and attending school in District No. 6.

Fred Grassman, Harry Beilke and Ernest Porath left for Rib Lake Monday morning, where they have employment in a sawmill.

Walter Moldenhauer’s mill was running last week.  He stopped sawing Monday because of lack of timber, but intends to run again later in the spring.

Although Granton has a brass band and Lynn an orchestra, they haven’t anything on us as a musical community.  Ralph Mayhew and Will Breseman are proud possessors of new trombones, Alfred Moldenhauer has a drum, Alfred Porath has recently purchased a new harmonica and we understand that Prof. Wood is giving the Smith boys lessons on the jews-harp.
