Krasselt, Martha (29 JAN 1874-17 JUNE 1957)

 

The Rev, John Pfohl, pastor, conducted the funeral services for Mrs. Ernest Krasselt, 83, Monday, June 17, at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal, Hymns sung by Mrs, Ervin Noeldner and Mrs, Herman Schefus during yje rites were "The Old Wooden Cross" and "Asleep in Jesus." Carol Noeldner played the organ accompaniment.

 

Serving as pallbearers were Paul Bymers, Phillip Kurz, Melvin Tews, Milton Reinheimer, Julius Schroeder and Charles Mueller. Floral tributes were in charge pf Mrs. Paul Bymers, Mrs. Carl Ihlenfeld, Mrs. Julius Schroeder, Mrs. Robert Brett, Mrs. Donald Mueller and Mrs. Delmar Bartsch.

 

Committal took place in Hillside Cemetery at Marshfield. The Hansen Funeral Home, Marshfield was in charge.

 

The former Martha Marie Siegert was born in Secton, Germany, January 29, 1874. She came with her parents to America at the age of seven. She was married in Joliet, Illinois, May 11, 1995. She and her husband farmed at Custer Park, Illinois and then they moved to Spencer, Route two in 1914 where they farmed until 1938 when the couple moved to Loyal, leaving their son in charge of the farm.

 

Since her husband’s death which occurred here January 15, 1946, she had since made her home with her children. Mrs. Krasselt was a member of the local Lutheran Church and a former member of its ladies aid.

 

She is survived by three children, Mrs. Edwin (Susie) Anderegg, Loyal, Mrs. James (Emma) Engstrom of Woodstock, Illinois, and Siegert of Spencer. Mrs. Krasselt was a patient at the Marshfield Hospital for two weeks. On June 13 she was released and she passed away at the home of her son, Siegert, of a heart condition on Friday, June 14.

 

Relatives attending the rites at Loyal and Marshfield were Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Anderegg, Marvin and Marlene, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Siegert Krasselt, Patsy and Janice, Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Sternitzky and son, Mr. and Mrs. James Krasselt and sons, Spencer.

 

Miss Helena Siegert, William Luchterhand, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Luchterhand and Randy, Mrs. Charles Woodkey and Mrs. Vera Engelhart of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kissinger, Dale, Roger and Gary Krasselt, Chili; and Mr. and Mrs. George Krasselt and sons of Levittown, N.J.; and many other neighbors and friends.
