Willard (9 May 1963)
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lunka have recently purchased the Frank Bergant residence in Willard.
Mrs. Johanna Merkun and Mrs. Hannah Robertson of Ely, Minn., were here with Mrs. Mary Hribar. Mrs. Robertson left for Milwaukee by car to stay for a week with her son and family there.
Collette Bayuk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bayuk, received treatment one day in the Marshfield hospital.
Frank Klancher, Sr., arrived in Willard recently from Boyceville, where he spent the winter with his daughter, Mrs. Alice Prebil.
At 8 p.m. Sunday at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard the May crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary was held. The students of the parish assembled in the hall and marched in the church, where the May Queen, Miss Mary Anne Staut, crowned the Blessed Virgin Mary. Appropriate songs were sung and prayers for the occasion were said. Rev. Mirko Silvester was the officiating clergyman.
Last Wednesday the Council of Catholic Women attended the meeting at St. Bernard’s Church in Abbotsford for the Clark-Jackson deanery.
