Snow has come at last, but in bunches.
Oscar Northup is hauling stone for a new basement wall which he intends erecting next spring.
John Kubat has also fallen in line as a silo farmer. They will all fall in line sooner or later when they commence to figure out the loss of feed cows do not consume in the dry state.
All the jolly maskers of our neighborhood took in the mask ball at Neillsville Thursday and reported a good time.
Chas. Balfanz has also ordered a silo, one that is made in this state.
F.D. Potter is hauling shelled corn from Neillsville.
Quite a number of this vicinity took in the lecture course at Granton Wednesday evening.
Perk Cross and grandson Lyle Jones visited a few days at Wyeville last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Greeler visited at D.H. Rhines’ Tuesday evening.
Mrs. E.A. Gault’s son Larry of Loyal, who has had quite a siege of sickness and operations, is at present some better, well enough so as to be transferred to his mother’s home where it will be more convenient for his care.
Mr. Hosley of Neillsville visited at the farm Tuesday. He says it is too lonesome in the city for him, so he has to come out and watch the boy work and of course Mr. Hosley is not afraid of work himself.
G.A. Wilson is rearing a fine herd of Holstein cattle from those he purchased last year and contemplates going to Sheboygan again in the spring and purchase another car load of pure bred Holsteins, as Geo. believes in having the genuine or none at all. Give Geo. 5 years of success with his herd and he will be up with the best of them in dairying and quality.
Arthur Feldman of Plymouth was a caller at C.E. Reed’s and D.H. Rhines’ Tuesday.
Geo. Reindel helped his father-in-law, Wm. Schoengarth, a couple of days last week.
Chas. Greeler drove to Neillsville Monday.
C.A. Dorr and family who have been visiting at the home of Perkins Cross for the past couple of months, have returned to their home at Wyeville.
The Misses Leah and Alma Reindel visited with the Zickert girls near Christie, Sunday.
