B.F. Frazier hauled hay on the Riley farm last week.

Mable Schier spent Saturday and Sunday at home.

Smith’s visited at Porath’s Sunday evening.

B.F. Frazier and Emil Krause went to Lynn last Thursday.

Frank Wood spent Saturday at Chili, visiting relatives there.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Porath and Mrs. A. Krause were Granton visitors Saturday.

Several of our neighborhood have been hauling logs this week.

B.F. Frazier transacted business at Neillsville on Monday.

Alfred Moldenhauer was unable to attend school last week on account of a bad cold.

Willie Breseman and Herman Batch have been cutting cord wood for Mr. Grossbeier.

Some of our young folks attended the "party" at Lynn, Monday eve.  A good time was reported by all.

Henry Porath, Lena Crowell, Alfred Moldenhauer and Norma Porath spent Sunday afternoon and took supper at Will Wischulke’s.  The afternoon was spent very enjoyably in playing "rummy," the guests departing in the early part of the evening.

Several of the friends of Philip Breseman united in giving him a party last Sunday evening in honor of his birthday.  A very pleasant evening was enjoyed by all who attended.  One of the chief features of the evening was the instrumental music rendered by Professor G.D. Vincent, the instructor of the Granton band.

We are sorry to say that several young gentlemen of our acquaintance (both in this neighborhood and others nearby) were met with a rather cool reception, upon visiting the numerous and gifted young ladies of their acquaintance.  Cheer up boys, it will be warm enough to sit on the front porch by the 4^th of July, even if the sausage did come out of his hole last Sunday and then go back, expecting six weeks more of winter.
