Star Corner (21 April 1911)

 

Miss Nora Odekirk of Fond du Lac is spending a few days with her sister Mrs. Ralph Mayhew.

 

Fred Grassman has started framing August Reimer’s new barn.

 

Several from this way attended church Good Friday.

 

About forty women attended Mrs. Fred Grassman’s feather bee last Wednesday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. R. Mayhew and Mr. and Mrs. F. Preston spent Friday evening at Robert Washburn’s.

 

Miss Olga Bentz returned home from Milwaukee Friday where she has been assisting in the care of her mother who is still under the doctor’s care.

 

Dr. P. M. Ross passed through our burg Sunday with his auto.

 

P. C. Kampine, cheese buyer for C. E. Udell Cheese Co., called on Frank Preston Saturday.

 

Wm Opelt passed through here Sunday enroute to Sherwood.

 

Miss Lida Scheier made the purchase of a fine piano just recently.

 

J. J. Herman is helping Dave Garbush with his farm work this week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hankey and children spent Sunday at  Ernest Keuer’s.

 

Ed. Wiesner is assisting his father with seeding this week.

 

Mrs. Philip Breseman spent a few days in Neillsville this week.

 

Miss Martha Breseman who has employment in Neillsville came home Mon. to attend the Easter dance in Lynn.
