A charming event took place Friday at 3 p.m. when Alex McInnis Sr. was united in marriage to Mrs. Mary Lazotte at the groom’s house in this township, by Rev. Lothian. A small company of friends and neighbors were present and joined in the happy feasting that followed. A number of Mr. McInnis’ men friends waited upon him in the evening with a serenade of a decidedly musical character, to which that gentleman responded generously.
