Wenck, Lorraine (90^th Birthday - 25 August, 2011)

The 90^th birthday of Lorraine (Garbisch) Wenck was celebrated at a gathering in the Granton Sportsman’s Club Saturday, Aug. 20.  Lorraine was surrounded by her immediate family and many other relatives and friends.  Lorraine, born Aug. 25, 1921, in the village of Granton, the daughter of Arnold and Gertrude Garbisch, grew up in Granton, attended Granton High School and married Marvin Wenck Aug. 1, 1943. They celebrated their golden wedding in 1993; Marvin died in July 1999.

Attending the celebration were their children, Judith and Gerry Urey, Terry and family and Christian and family, Chicago, IL; Stanley and Patricia Wenck, Amy and family, Chad and family and Lance and family, Douglasville, GA; Willard and Susan Wenck, Brookfield; Ralph Wenck, Phoenix AZ; and Ian Wenck and friend, Dany. Also attending were Lorraine’s sister, Joyce Opelt and Rick Cain; sisters-in-law, Marge Garbisch and Angie Garbisch; and Lorraine’s niece (Erlin’s daughter) Lynette and family, Milwaukee.  The afternoon was spent visiting and taking many pictures and videos. It was a great day and a memorable 90^th birthday celebration.
