Cancer Fund Drive Donations - Mrs. Leland Garbisch, cancer chairman for Granton, reports that $162.72 has been collected in the recent fund drive.
Mrs. Garbisch was assisted in the campaign by: Mrs. Grace Paulson, Mrs. Gladys Gerhardt, Mrs. Gerald Kuehn, Mrs. Bonnie Elmhorst, Mrs. Jesse Richmond, Isabel Pietenpol, Faith Vine, Mrs. Marjorie Short, Mrs. June Paulson, Hilda Johnson and Mrs. Leonard Drescher.
This group conducted the campaign on a house-to-house basis.
Mrs. Walter Trimberger, who is chairman for the village of Granton, reports that $84.55 was collected. She was assisted by: Mrs. Harry Zaleske, Mrs. David Lavey, Mrs. Ethel Berg, Mrs. Francis Steiner, Pearle Beeckler and Rosetta Meyer.
The cancer drive in the village was conducted by the envelope method. Both chairmen report there was a gain over last year’s contributions.
Roy Johnson left Monday for Breckenridge, Minn., on receiving a call telling him of the serious illness of his mother.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kuenze of Abbotsford visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Witte.
Mrs. Larry Smazal is leaving today (Thursday) for her home in Oregon after spending several days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Foemmel, Sr., in Chili. She also attended the Foemmel-Coyle wedding last Sat.
