Frederick and Bernard Pietenpol are taking violin lessons.

A.W. Hales’ hot water heating plant was put into operation last week by Wm. Poat of Neillsville.

Truman Davis lost a valuable cow one day last week in a peculiar manner.  She seeming in good health and eating her dinner was found dead in her stall at 5 o’clock.  Frank Davis lost a cow in like manner just a week before.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Roehl spent Sunday afternoon at Geo. Frei’s.

Henry Vanderweiss spent Sunday with his parents.

Mr. and Mrs. John Breese were Sunday guests of their daughter.

How much more newsy the Granton News is getting to be.

The weathr being somewhat milder last Saturday afternoon, Marjorie Pietenpol’s party took place.  About 40 little boys and girls came laden with gifts suitable for the occasion.  Marjorie’s teacher, Miss Beeckler, kept the little ones busy playing games until a dainty lunch was served be the Mesdames John Pietenpol, Lou Hayden and Truman Davis, and then they entertained themselves.

Mott Osgood and family called at Herman Roehl’s Sunday evening.

It is reported that Mr. Tremelling of Heathville has hired out to Mr. Wentworth and will live on the farm here.

Mr. Stelloh came this week to install the gasoline engine in the proper place to run Al Nonhof’s milking machine.

Viola Rhines and Mary Hefty visited Nora Ackerman on Sunday.

Walter Foemmel left Monday for Kansas City where he will attend an auto school.  He will stop of three days in Chicago.

Jack Schafer and wife drove through here Sunday on their way home from Granton where they had been to see Dr. Ross in regard to two of her fingers which were sore with run-a-rounds.

Chas. Hayden and wife were Sunday guests of their son Lou and family.

Mr. Johnson and family spent Sunday evening with Mr. Fred Foemmel and family.
