Thode Harriman, who was on the sick list for a week, is up and around again. He was bothered with bowel trouble.
Ernest Neinas will take the assessment for the Lynn Telephone at his place, at the Farmers State Bank ant Granton and at the Chili State Bank.
L.A. Allen was an Eau Claire visitor, Sunday.
There were Lutheran services Sunday, but Rev. Lothian could not hold services in the evening. His wife is very sick.
Mrs. Ernest Sunday and her son visited with Mr. and Mrs. H. Montag and Mr. and Mrs. A. Degener.
Clark Waterman made his regular trip to Granton Sunday.
Friday evening the Social Centers held their second meeting which met with equal success. Jake Henning said a few words on better schools, better homes, better farms, which was appreciated very much. An adding contest was pulled off, and A.W. Wendorf being the best and quickest, receive a prize. A few games were played, a few tableaus given, and a very pleasant evening was passed. Mr. E.R. Behringer was appointed chairman for the next meeting.
H. Ketel had to tear down part of Mr. Phillips’ chimney which was very much corroded. Herman can do it all right if something has to be done.
The carpenters commenced again on Degener’s warehouse Monday and got the roof boards on. The balance of the work is more inside work and not exposed to the weather so much.
Farmers are hauling logs to the landing for the Roddis Co. every day. There are quite a few logs at the landing.
The monthly firemen’s meeting was held last Thursday. H. Koser presided in place of Wm. Gantwort.
