Osgood, Elizabeth (1844 - 18 April 1910)
Mr. L. B. Osgood died of diabetes at the home of her daughter Mrs. Luella Hall at Portland, Ore., Tuesday, April 18, 1911.
Mrs. Osgood was born in Canada in 1844. In July 1864 Elizabeth La Lone was married to LeRoy Osgood and came to Wisconsin where she resided until 1904, when she came to Portland, Ore., where she resided until her death. Besides her husband, L. B. Osgood she leaves three sons, and four daughters to mourn her loss; Elmer Osgood of Oklahoma, Carl and William of Oakland, Cal., Mrs. Chas Carey of Baraboo, Wis., Mrs. A. L. Snyder of Duluth, Minn., Mrs. L. L. Case of Baraboo, Wis., and Mrs. E. E. Hall of Portland, Ore., besides many friends.
Three months ago she became a sufferer from an abscess in her head. She underwent an operation two weeks before her death. She rallied from the operation, but became weaker from the Diabetic condition until she was called to rest. She died very peaceful, but was unconscious for 48 hours before her death, so did not know anyone, nor could she speak.
