Anna Volk with her sisters-in-law, my great aunts Bertha & Caroline Wehrmann, married to the brothers, Volk, who were tailors along with Anna's husband Jacob. Betty Comstock

 

Volk, Anna Barbara (13 November 1868 - 26 May 1963)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna B. Volk, 94, of Greenwood, were held May 29, from St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  Officiating were the Rev. Edward Hartung, the Rev. O. E. Noonan of Baileys Harbor, and the Rev. Mirko Sylvester of Willard.  Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were: Arleigh Syth, Louis Kebl, Joseph Walters, John Snedic, John Susa, Sr., and Frank Reinhart.

 

Out-of-town people who attended were: Floyd Volk of Bellevue, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Perry Volk of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Hoesly and Mrs. George Volk of Milwaukee; Mrs. Edward O’Neil of Madison; Mrs. Ann Volk and the Rev. O. E. Noonan of Bailey’s Harbor; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Palms and Mrs. Esther Etta of Sterling, Ill.; Mrs. F. A. Boeckman, Mrs. Ray Lupient, Mrs. Hugo Quast and Mrs. Fred Gorman of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tolleth of Wisconsin Dells; Durward Schwarze and Mrs. Baltz Hoesly of Granton; Ray Phillips of Neillsville and the Rev. Mirko Sylvester of Willard.
