Kotecki, Helen (3 JUL 1887 - 20 JAN 1959)

 

Mrs. Helen Kotecki, 71, passed away at her home in Milwaukee, Wis. of a heart attack on Tuesday morning, Jan. 20, 1959.

 

Helen Osowski was born in Milwaukee on July 3, 1887.  She moved to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1906, where she was united in marriage to Anton Kotecki.  They resided for a short time in Gilman & Owen before moving to Milwaukee where she lived until her death on Jan. 20.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1946, and one son, Stanley, who died in infancy.  She is survived by one son, Harry Dettmer, Sacramento, Calif., four daughters, Cecelia (Mrs. Larry Fritsch), Spencer, Wis., Florence (Mrs. Ed Kusch), Milwaukee, Regina (Mrs. Ralph Landowski), Milwaukee, and Dorothy (Mrs. Slocum) Seattle, Wash., three sisters, Ann (Mrs. Bruno Lato) Thorp, Mary (Mrs. F. Donash) and Rose (Mrs. Anton Balicki), Chicago, and three brothers, John of Thorp, Louis of San Diego, Calif., and Casimer of Texas, also 11 grandchildren.

 

Funeral services took place on Friday, Jan. 23, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Casimer’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
