Jake Henning and family spent Sunday with August Kempin.

 

Mrs. H. Portz returned home on Saturday from a three week visit in the southern part of the state.

 

Sam and Arthur Lindow made a pleasure trip to Marshfield on Friday.

 

W. Albrecht and E. Neinas were in Chili Tuesday on business.

 

Ernest was collected telephone dues.  Bill says he saw a robin that day.  A sure sign of spring he says.

 

John Henning claims to hold the record for trapping rats, having trapped 45 since January 15th, while "Buffalo Bill" claims he did 1500 in less time.  The latter has been credited with telling the truth several times in his early childhood.

 

(Owing to complaints entered at this office in regard to certain correspondence which appeared recently in these columns, we deem it best to discontinue such reading for the present at least. - The Editor)

 

The Granton Brass Band will give their concert and dance at the Chili Opera House tomorrow, Saturday, March 1st, instead of March 8th as was reported in last week’s issue.
