Lindner, Edith Margaret (Marriage - 22 June 1963)
The Rev. Fr. Bernard T. Kelly performed the double ring ceremony Saturday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church uniting in marriage Miss Edith Margaret Lindner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Lindner of Rt. 2, Neillsville, and Thomas F. Nauertz, son of Mrs. Alice Nauertz of Neillsville. Pink and white peonies adorned the main altar.
The bride entered the church attired in a floor-length dress of French imported Chantilly lace over slipper satin. The full bouffant skirt was fashioned with lace panels down the back. The fitted bodice was styled with a Sabrina neckline and long, tapered sleeves. Her full bouffant veil was attached to a pearl and crystal crown and she carried a bouquet of yellow roses and sprays of white hyacinths and ivy.
Mrs. Mary Ann Murphy, sister of the groom, was her matron-of-honor. She wore a ballerina-length dress of aqua sheer, over yellow taffeta. Her headpiece consisted of one rose-shaped flower of aqua sheer over yellow taffeta, with a short matching veil. Aqua shoes and wrist-length gloves completed her attire. She carried a white lace basket filled with aqua and yellow tinted daisies.
Robert Murphy served as bestman. Ushers were Harold Boon and Verlyn Shaw.
Wedding events consisted of a light dinner at a supper club for 26 guests, followed by a reception in the Legion Hall.
Mrs. Nauertz is a graduate of Neillsville High School and of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Marshfield, and is employed in Memorial Hospital as a nurse. Mr. Nauertz attended Neillsville schools and is employed in a local service station.
Mr. and Mrs. Nauertz are residing at 1105 Grand Avenue, Neillsville and plan to take their wedding trip this fall.
Guests from away attending the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kucis and family, Mrs. Bob Paton, and Mrs. Ted Trieber and Debbie of Westmont, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. George Nauertz of Altoona; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Nauertz of Fairchild; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Margl and family of St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. Margaret Neidermeyer of St. Paul; and Mrs. Alice Behrens of Greenwood.
